Antiquity, a quarterly, peer-reviewed journal of archaeology, founded by O.G.S. Crawford in 1927, is owned by the Antiquity Trust, a registered charity. The Trustees of the Antiquity Trust are Graeme Barker, Warwick Bray, Robin Coningham, Barry Cunliffe, Chris Gosden, Anthony Harding, Paul Mellars, Colin Renfew and Stephen Shennan.
The Directors of Antiquity Publications Ltd., owned by the Antiquity Trust and responsible for producing Antiquity are Martin Carver, Chris Evans, Roger Guthrie, Martin Millett, Nicky Milner, Cameron Petrie, Mike Pitts and Andrew Rogerson.
The Antiquity office is based at the Department of Archaeology at the University of York.
The Editor, Martin Carver, is Emeritus Professor of Archaeology at the University of York. He was an army officer for fifteen years serving in Europe, the Middle East and the Far East, and then a freelance archaeologist researching in England, Scotland, France, Italy and Algeria. He is the research director of the Sutton Hoo Research Project and the Tarbat Discovery Programme (Scotland). He still has a foot in the world of commercial archaeology, having founded the Birmingham University Field Archaeology Unit and is chairman of Field Archaeology Specialists, Ltd., York.

The Reviews Editor is Dr Madeleine Hummler, who studied at the universities of Basel, Birmingham, Oxford and York and has worked as a field archaeologist in Switzerland, Italy, France and Britain.

The Editorial Manager is Jo Tozer. Jo studied Ancient History at Newcastle University, and graduated with an MA in the History of Roman Italy. Since leaving university Jo worked for a number of years for HM Land Registry in York before spending time working and travelling in New Zealand. Jo joined Antiquity in 2006 and now manages the busy editorial office. Jo recently gained the Chartered Institute of Marketing's Professional Diploma in Marketing.
